Classroom Improvement
The English course is one of the prominent departments at the University of Antananarivo. The American Embassy helped to improve the learning environment in this major training center by presenting electronic devices and classroom furniture at the University of Antananarivo on Friday, January 20, 2023.
Bookcases, desks, chairs, TVs, and e-readers were given to the University of Antananarivo last Friday, January 20. The presence of these donations will help and encourage students to learn more with efficiency.
President of the University of Antananarivo Pr. Mamy Ravelomanana received the donation from U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer Ryan Bradeen in presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Fanja Tahina Ralinirina and the Chair of the Anglophone Studies Department Harilala Andrianarivelo, according to the Press Release of the U.S Embassy Madagascar.
Madagascar advantages
Until now, the University of Antananarivo has the highest English language learning department for public universities in the country. This is one of the reasons that encouraged the United States Embassy to present these donations.
« As the most widely spoken language in the world and the language of international business, science, and the internet, improving the quality of English education at the University of Antananarivo will open many educational and economic opportunities to Malagasy students nationwide », said the Press Release.
There will be increased cooperation between the two parties, so the new American Corner will soon be opened at the university.
